![]() ![]() Crazy Jealous Guy: Part of Leon's motive in the first case was to kill Yasuhiro in order to gain the affections of Sayaka, when he was jealous of Makoto for having her affection. The next chapter reveals that she's still alive, and it's Yasuhiro who dies instead. Bait-and-Switch: During Chapter 1, it appears that Sayaka had died just like what happened in canon.Yasuke even takes the role of protagonist for a brief moment. Ascended Extra: Yasuke Matsuda and Natsumi Kuzuryuu are active participants of the game this time around. And Now for Someone Completely Different: Makoto is knocked unconscious near the end of the Chapter 1 Daily Life, so Yasuke takes the role of protagonist for the remainder of the chapter. It was also the time that Sayaka found out that she was pregnant with Makoto's child. Both of them forgot when Junko stole their memories, only finding out during the sixth trial. Amnesiac Lover: Makoto and Sayaka were dating before the Tradegy while in Hope's Peak Academy, and had gotten married during their time in the shelter. The surviving students would late found him in Chapter 6. He is still in Hope's Peak, and takes measures to help his classmates. Subverted, as he was removed from the Killing Games by Junko since his growth spurt would be a clue of how many years the students have forgotten. Adapted Out: Chihiro isn't a participant of the killing game this time.Celestia manipulates Leon into killing Hiro, and frames Makoto and Sayaka for the plan.He only did so because Celestia manipulated him into thinking that Sayaka was killed by him. While his murder of Yasuhiro was planned in contrast to his canon counterpart. In the meantime, I will likely continue translating what I’m reading exactly. If I ever play it in the future, I’ll try to smooth things out. ![]() I’m translating as closely to the Japanese as possible while trying to keep it smooth, and I’m not cross-referencing with the localization. I have not played this! If something is not phrased the way it is in the official release, I apologize. REGARDING THE OFFICIAL DANGAN RONPA: TRIGGER HAPPY HAVOC BY NISA Please understand, and I hope this does not intimidate anybody from wanting to help me out! Thank you very much, and I hope you enjoy this blog. This is the reason I have disabled anonymous asks, so that I can reply to you in a personal manner. (They say that if you don’t use it, you lose it, after all!) If you feel you want to assist me or would like to correct one of my translations, please send me an ask. By no means do I consider myself very fluent, but I will do my best. I use a reference for a lot of my translating. I have taken 4 years of Japanese formally and understand approximately 200 kanji on a good day. My Japanese skills are elementary at best. I’ll try to keep the posting frequency consistent, but I have my own things to attend to as well. I plan to queue up translations to be posted once each day, so please be patient with me in the event that things slow down. (To get the app, try typing in “Dangan Ronpa Alter Ego app” in Google, and you’ll probably get plenty of How-To’s that will help you get it.) What I’m talking about is the stuff AE says when you hit the computer icon in the bottom corner:ĪE says all kinds of interesting stuff. Hello there! This is a pet project of mine where I plan to exercise my translation skills by translating some of Alter Ego’s miscellaneous quotes off of the Dangan Ronpa Alter Ego app, available in Japanese smartphone stores. ![]()
